😖 Why is this so difficult?
Most people rely on binary signals to engage with others:
- Interested / not interested
- Smart / not smart
- Open / closed
- Engaged / disengaged
This works fine for most social and simple interactions.
But fore relationally complex interactions, a higher degree of resolution is needed.
More relationally attuned people know that relational engagement is continuous, not binary.
