Back Container

Actions

Open steps and tasks to work through.

Actions is Relatable’s place to see and work through open steps — concrete next moves tied to something you are already holding. Instead of searching through longer texts, this container gathers what still waits to be done, so you can follow up, prioritize, and check things off without losing the thread to the context the steps belong to.

Why this container matters psychologically

When actions are scattered inside larger trains of thought, it is easy to lose sight of them — or to feel that “I should do something” without seeing what is actually open. A dedicated place for open steps creates clarity between what you are thinking about and what you can take hold of. It is psychologically relieving to see progress in concrete steps, and to know which actions are urgent, without having to keep the whole task list in your head.

What happens without a container like this

Without a place like this, next steps are easily forgotten inside longer texts and intentions. We compensate with loose lists elsewhere, or with vague pressure to “get started” without an overview of what has already been formulated. Then we lose both follow-through and trust that what we wrote down actually leads to action.

  • See open steps gathered, grouped by what they belong to
  • Check off steps as you complete them
  • Filter by due date — past due, today, this week, later
  • Filter by notebook or assignee
  • Set a due date on a step when something needs a time
  • Assign caretakers when someone should follow up
  • Show or hide completed steps
  • Go back to the context the steps belong to when you need more
  • You have several things in motion and want to see what is actually open
  • You want to work through concrete steps without searching longer texts
  • Something is past due or urgent, and you need an overview of deadlines
  • You want to distribute follow-up — who is responsible for what
  • You are ready to act, but need a list of next steps first
