Worlds
Places where you can shape, tell, and walk your own story.
Worlds are Relatable’s place to step into what is hard to only read about. Here, what you are dealing with — insight, questions, and choices — becomes a landscape you can walk. You can start a ready-made exploration, or make a place yourself with landmarks, paths, and rooms along the way. The point is to meet the topic at your own pace: choose how you take it, think it through, and move on when you are ready. When you want, you can also share the world with others — so they can meet the same thing without you having to explain everything from scratch.
Why this container matters psychologically
Much insight stays as lists and good intentions. It is hard to notice where you actually stand when everything is only text. In a world you walk to a place, meet a question, choose, and get time to think — why this fits now, or what would better describe your situation. Then it is more than something you have read: you were there and made a choice.
The same is true when you want to talk with others about something they have not thought about yet. Opening that conversation cold can feel abrupt — or like you are putting something on them they have nowhere to stand. A world gives a shared place to start: they can walk the topic themselves, at their own pace, before (or instead of) having the whole talk all at once.
What happens without a container like this
Without a place like this, what should feel close often stays as overview — cards, catalogs, and intentions with nothing to walk through. We read, nod, and move on without having met it. Or we jump straight to action without spending time on what is actually hard. When the topic also needs other people, it often stays unspoken — or gets brought up too early, without a place where the other person can meet it first. Then we lose both our own direction and the chance to come together around what matters.
- Start a ready-made exploration, or create a blank place from scratch
- Walk between landmarks and meet questions, choices, and reflection along the way
- Write down thoughts when something lands — before you move on
- Follow a path through what has been laid out, until the path is complete
- See more to explore when you have finished the path
- Switch into designing — shape landscapes, landmarks, and dialogues
- Add choices, path clues, and rooms you can enter along the way
- Share a world with others via a link, so they can walk it themselves
- You understand something when you read it, but it has not really settled yet
- You want to walk a ready-made exploration at your own pace
- You want to meet choices about how you take it — not only read about them
- You want to make a place yourself for something you are in, then walk it
- You want to open a topic with someone who has not reflected on it yet
- You want to return to an exploration without losing what you have already done
