Relatable preboarding

Many people lack a clear picture of themselves, where they want to go and what’s good for them in the long run.

This can prevent them from making healthy, long term decisons in their own best interest.

The purpose of the Relatable preboarding is to assess the quality, clarity and structure of the insights and reasoning which underpin how a person makes life impacting decisions (aka their Life Navigational Apparatus).

This helps them become more cognizant of their own awareness of how they navigate life, contribution and relationships, and begin to get a glimpse of how they might subtlety sabotage their own ability to experience a sense of direction, connection and meaning.

In order to gain real value from the program, it's important that you are open and honest about your motivation for attending.

Even though your understanding of the process and the program will grow over time, which in turn might impact your understanding of intent, sharing a preliminary understanding of your motivation helps establish a tentative set of success criteria.

Your motivation might be something concrete, like wanting to make better or more confident decisions within a certain area of your life, or just a sneaking suspicion that something might be wrong or lacking.

The point of the Relatable program is to assess the quality, clarity and structure of your Life Navigational Apparatus.

In order to do that, you first need to share the insights which underpin how you make decisions related to yourself and your life.

Some people have a notebook, document or collection of notes where they maintain or have tried to structure this type of thinking. It might have begun as part of a previous coaching or psychology session, or in relation to a standalone introspective process.

If you have such a thing - great! Please share what you can with your coach.

If you can't identify any single source of truth for the insights which underpin your life navigation, you can do one of two things:

1. Establish a single source of truth

Start a new document or note which contains or links to the the things impacting your life navigational decisions.

This is the best option if you find pre-determined structure constraining, and want to freely organize your thinking.

2. Organize your insights in Relatable

Create a Relatable account and complete the setup wizard which will extract different types of navigational insights.

This is the best option if you think better when being asked to respond to concrete insight prompts.

When you feel that you have shared what there is to share, let your coach know so that they can then review and interpret your insights in order to assess clarity, coherence and completeness.

Once the coach is done pouring through your insights, they will schedule a session with you to review and get your feedback on their thoughts and observations.

As a part of this walk-through, the coach will also address the Relatable learning resources the coach believes is relevant and useful to you and your particular situation.

Depending on the amount of insights and analysis generated, this might require multiple sessions.

Once the navigational insights have been reviewed, you will work together with your coach to identify priorities, process, next steps and the psychological barriers keeping you from taking them.
